Is it for me? Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between ‘Turn up The Volume’, South Yorkshire Community Media Fund and the South Yorkshire Community Media Support Centre?
‘Turn up the Volume’ is a South Yorkshire based project managed by the Community Media Association (CMA) in partnership with CM Solutions. The project offers a package of support to community media groups in the region.
There are two strands of support available for groups taking part of the project. The first strand of support was financial and is administered by the CMA through the “South Yorkshire Community Media Fund”. The second strand of support is delivered by Community Media Solutions (CMS) and offers free advice and support for community media groups in the South Yorkshire region through the “South Yorkshire Community Media Support Centre”.

Yes. Eligible groups can still access support up until the end of July 2007.
How can you help me?
The ‘South Yorkshire Community Support Centre’ can help with technical support and organisational development whether you are a start-up or a developed community group. If you have a project that is community media based then the support centre may be able to help.

As long as your organisation in based in South Yorkshire and in or serving a priority 4a community, and your project is some form of community media, then it is completely free.
